FIR against Bhojpuri singer Neha Singh Rathore for posting on social media on MP portal

Bhopal, July 7 (IANS) Bhojpuri singer Neha Singh Rathore has been booked over her social media involvement in the pee gate controversy in Madhya Pradesh.
Ratoor, known for her song ‘UP me ka ba’, made a post about a urination incident in Madhya Pradesh where a man urinated on a tribesman.
In her social media post, Rathore shared a photo depicting a half-naked man, who supposedly accused Pravsh Shukla, of urinating on the Deshmash Rawat tribe. The urinating man was seen wearing a white half-sleeved shirt, a black hat on his head, and khaki shorts.
The FIR was filed by BJP worker Suraj Kher at Habibganj Police Station in Bhopal, alleging that Rathore had targeted the RSS through her social media post. The FIR has been filed under Section 153(a) (Promotion of hostility between different groups on grounds of religion, race, etc.) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
Rathore also posted a letter saying, “The leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party has filed a case against me for criticizing my master’s incident.”
Earlier in February this year, Rathore received notice for her song “UP Me Ka Ba” which criticized the Uttar Pradesh government over the death of a mother-daughter duo in Kanpur Dehat during an eviction drive.
